CELEBRATION OF NOEL’S LIFE SERVICE: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, IL with Bro. Bill Ikemire officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oblong Cemetery.

Noel E. Ikemire, 94, of Willow Hill, IL passed away at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2015.  He was a resident of The Villas of Holly Brook ~ Newton, Newton, IL.  Born on September 17, 1921 in Martin Township near Berlin Church, he was the son of Wiley Ikemire and Lulu (Johnson) Ikemire.  On April 14, 1946 he married Audrey Marie Michael and she preceded him in death on February 28, 2004.

Noel served his country during World War II in the Army, 2nd Armored Division during the European Theater.  He was a life ~ long farmer in Jasper County; serving on the Jasper County Farm Bureau; and board member of Jasper County Soil & Water Conservation District for many years.  Noel was a member of Seed Chapel United Methodist Church.

Noel is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Greg and Susan Ikemire, Newton, IL and daughter and son-in-law Tamra and Jerry Kidwell, Oblong, IL; five grandchildren and spouses: Ryan and Shelly Kidwell, Oblong, IL; Jason and Laura Kidwell, Clinton, IN; Kristi and Charley Stone, Chicago, IL; Kelly and Scott Engstrom, Chicago, IL; and Kevin Ikemire, Willow Hill, IL; eight great-grandchildren: Gage, Grant and Genna Kidwell, Oblong, IL; Andrew and Aaron Kidwell, Clinton, IN; Henry, William and Audrey Stone, Chicago, IL; special friend Norma Kennedy and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Noel in death were his parents; his wife; one brother Chloris Ikemire and an infant sister, Corinne Ikemire.
